Here is another not so famous fruit that should be. It’s called Black Sapote, also referred to as The Chocolate Pudding fruit.

Well, I live in Montana not far from the Canadian border so not getting much
in the way of tropical fruits and would be challenging to get them shipped since
I can not receive postal deliver to my home. But I do want to say that I enjoy these
segments because I was born and raised in California and have gotten to eat
many wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables that were available there in my lifetime.
But I have never seen the black sapote, and I’m glad you demonstated this because
I don’t know if I would have ever tried it given it’s unappetizing appearance, but if I had the chance I would try it now. Keep us the good work and don’t forget to get yourself that orange juicer…make a note! : ) Shalom and Blessed Sabbath to you.

Great video to investigate Paul. My daughter, 9, is standing here too and we are going to order some of these and give it a try. Thanks for taking the time to post your videos. It is refreshing to be able to allow my daughter to watch with me and see that we are not the only people on the planet looking for healthy foods that can taste awesome and this gives us a great playing field for the thought that fruit can be our dessert, not cake…cookies…etc…it’s all about attitude
lol Thanks for being out there and having a good sense of humor so I can share with my family

Excellent video Paul.
Go get your citrus juicer. Oops, it is well past sundown so enjoy your Sabbath and THEN get your juicer.

Hey Paul, thanks so much for showing us this wonderful fruit!
When you mention you get a “spacey” feeling after eating larger amounts of fruit, this is a classic, classic symptom caused by eating a high-fat diet. The excess fat stays in the blood preventing the sugar from entering the cells. So when one eats something sugary whilst eating a high fat diet, the sugar in the fruit has difficulty getting into the cell and the pancreas then secretes more insulin to compensate. Eventually it overcompensates and as a result, blood sugar gets too low. It’s the most normal thing in the world on a high-fat diet.
Luckily, the sweet and juicy news is it’s not the fruit’s fault, it’s the fat. I’ve objectively tracked my blood sugar after eating large amounts of fruit and it’s always in the healthy range. The reason why is I eat a healthy amount of fat in my diet!
Just thought I’d let you know, thanks for all you do Paul!
